Summary:
We spent the morning with our Guide Julieta after a lovely drive we arrived at our own exclusive teepee by the side of a frozen lake. We drilled our own holes in the ice and fished for an hour or so - it could have been longer but the fire, hot chocolate and fired cooked sausages with potato bread and Finnish mustard was too enticing. A highlight was learning to use a flint stick to start a fire with bark !! Loved the tour and Julieta couldn't do enough for us. She gave us heaps of time and dropped as at the Arktikum museum when back in town.

Summary:
The Ice Fishing trip was an experience - there were just the 4 of us in our group which was perfect.
It was hard work drilling through the 1 meter thick ice but reassuring to know how thick it was! Then it's a case of sitting there and hoping. The other 2 people in our group did catch something but 'they got away'.
